Raffia Hats

On the island of Madagascar, lightweight, sun/rain resilient raffia straw is carefully harvested from tall palms and exported to Cathay where it's hand-woven into narrow braids. In the hands of skilled hat makers, the braids are artfully crafted into great sun-shielding hats.
