Many Classic Hawaiian Shirts were originally made from soft colorful silk fabric taken from Japanese Kimono garments brought to Hawaii from labors hired to work the sugar and pineapple plantations in the 1920's. The silk fabric of the kimono was a real eye catcher rich in color with scenic floral designs. The silk fabric was also soft light cool and comfortable, however the cost of quality silk was a bit expensive.

With the creation of rayon all the good qualities of silk could now be provided in affordable fabric.

Rayon Hawaiian shirts - How to determine your size?

*Hawaiian Shirt sizes are based on torso size in inches for both men and women. To get the torso measurement first measure around your chest and write down the measurement then measure right around your stomach and write down the measurement. Take the larger of the two measurements. Use that measurement to help select your correct size. The fit size you just determined is designed to be for a shirt a few inches wider measured across the chest from under the arms. This width runs straight down the entire length of the shirt.

Shirt length from the top of collar to bottom of hem are: S-29", M-30", L-32", XL-33", 2XL-34"

Sizes Available M, fits body torso size 34-36 inches
L, fits body torso size 37-40 inches
XL, fits body torso size 41-44 inches
2XL, fits body torso size 45-48 inches
